Sorry to say Ken but stick with Japan on what CJ mentioned above. I've also had a mechanical dial set bouncing around in my truck for many years. Still good and accurate. I would suggest staying away from that brand though if made in China. They have two standards of tools just like Red Wing boots!!

Browne and Sharpe is what my good set was. I’ve misplaced them now when I moved and I really need to find them. They read to ten thousandths not that a Chinese lathe will hold that tight of tolerances
