I never had a problem with points myself .Besides that with some ingenuity you can vary the timing a little bit without shifting the coil or key .
One of my 125's came with an offset key,probably 5 degrees and had been converted to using an " Atom arc" instead of points .The danged trigger device went funky so I pulled the flywheel and low and behold the points were still there .Hallelujah ,great day in the morning,now we got something .It runs better on those old points than it ever did on that trigger .
