Wilhelm, hope there is a cure for Dolamtitis, or your
in trouble.
Cure or not, I'm in trouble either way because I choose to embrace my sickness and live with it in grace!

I've been looking at a PS-7310 (great price), a PS-5105 (a bit too pricey) and a PS-420C (good price).
I also have a great offer on a new unused Makita 9010 that keeps occupying my mind - if she were a red Dolmar I'd already have bought her.
Good thing I'm strapped for cash, otherwise I'd have at least some of the ones listed coming my way!

Don't make any rash decisions based on my crazy talk, I wouldn't wanna be the culprit for a bad purchase.

I personally love the 64xx/73xx/79xx saw line.
Most/many others merely "like" the 79xx!

Wilhelm....do I need to shake you!!??? A 9010 and your not ALL over it???

“DREAM SAW”:clapclap:
She ain't natural red, but fake blue!

I have exceeded all predicted, estimated and financially allowable "chainsaw funds" for this year - and truth be told I have no large logs to process to justify a saw that large.

I was considering to get a CSM setup, but I came to the conclusion that I'd end up milling stuff for free for others just to run my saw.
Doing a good deed is one thing, but allowing Yourself to be taken advantage of is a whole different story.
For two years I've been bucking other people's firewood logs, not even asking for fuel money, just to run my PS-7900.
I came to the conclusion that I am the stupid one and that I have to stop - so for the most part I did.
I still go and help my very few friends processing their firewood no charge, but they do pay it back in their own way sooner or later.

I've purchased my Dolmar PS-7310 used and abused about two months ago.
I've fixed her up, mechanically and visually, and she's a real beauty now - but she hasn't made a single wood chip since she is in my possession.

My dream saw is the Dolmar PS-7900 and her siblings, so I got that covered.
But I am wanting, not needing, a more powerful saw - and in that department the 9010 would fit in nicely, no matter the color!

No worries, its only money at the end of the day, can't
take it with us, I always put such items to a good
casue when required.

The current economy here is so bad, in that we live in a rip off
country where everything is ridiculously priced, when I bought
my last two saws and even those before them, six months later the 372XP was 200.00 dearer,
I regreted selling them, but I got the same money as I paid for them two years before, and got my work done too, so oddly enough for me my saws never end up costing me to replace them, just really exchanging old for new, thanks to our rip off economy.
I paid 460 for a 2153, and sold it for more at same time I sold 372, that saw now when available is really expensive.

Just to update you all, I ordered a Makita 6400.
I could not get a quote for the Echo CS 620,
and concluded the 6400 was the closest in power to it.

I almost had a 6100, but could not get an answer
from the seller regarding payment method,
not his fault I might add, more that the 6400 was going
going and would have been gone if I had not acted,
not many of them in my area, in fact I only found the one during my search.

So Wilhelm, as far I know the Dolmar 6100 I missed is available if you want
to add to your red head collection, i can point you to the seller, (dangle carrot).

Either way, A kind Regards & thanks to all who commented, john

Thanks poleman

Its like everything else, until it is in my hands I can't officially claim
to be the owner, but if the seller holds true then I will indeed enjoy
her company, if not, maybe a Dolmar 6100 will come my way.

Would have liked to support a sponsor though.
But thats how the cookie crumbled on this occasion.

Regards, john

@Greenerpastures the 620P is $579 USD pre tax at the dealership where I work. I would be curious what you're quoted there, on the Emerald Isle.
Hi jon1212, 760.00 euro for the 620, saved 150.00 by going Makita.

The 579.00 + say 50.00 for postage + 30.00 import duty + 23% Vat on all << soon adds
up (812.00 usd), but where would I go for warranty if the worst happened.

Its even too close for me to buy a CS 590 in the US, and they are the cheapest saw in their
class, I would save very little and again, warranty could be fun.

One day I might decide to get a ported saw, and that would be a different
story, as I would in essence be buying a used saw, with an appropriate invoice
for the revenue over here, otherwise the powers that be have everything well sown
up so the ordinary man pays theough the nose every time.
