This saw just showed up here one day, and would not be running today had it not been for the help of Mastermind with the cylinder clean up efforts that had to go into the repair work. While it did have the most expensive piston that I've ever paid for for anything. It is a very fun saw to run. Otherwise some gaskets and fuel system restoration. And no Muffler Mods necessary.

Hi there!!! I 've got the same here but missing the carb. I think in this one the oiler is on the carb it self. So my question is where cal i find a full Carb including the oiler ?? Any ideas?? Thanks John

Not real sure John as my saw was whole when I bought it. Maybe someone who is more familiar and owns these little Homie XL's will chime in and guide you in the right direction.

DSCF1159.JPG repaired.jpg My bro knows some loggers,,, every now and again I get a gift,,, so I got these last year, 2 x 066/660 free, set them aside, then a member on one of the sites has 5 oem pistons and rings for a smokin deal, then I go across Canada and in PEI I score a bunch of plastics dirt cheap, get a few parts from farmertec and OEM seals and carb kits. So not much tied up in cash. Saws one and four. The others are winter project completed.

If I'd have known what I was getting into with this "Barn Find" 034 I would have left it in the Barn!

The piston was not fried, but I did not like how it looked, so I ordered a new one. Then start taking it down and see the oiler is gone, and it needs one of those "tube" kits, then it fails vac test and the seal is bad, and the bearing also!

On top of that I discover it has the chain adjuster out the front, and it can not be converted to the side!

I split the case and did bearings & seals, then it went in the shed for the rest of the winter when I got other saws to work on that were higher priority (like my 066 I cleaned up and got running).

I will likely finish it eventually, but it will likely never be worth what I got into it, not counting my time. But it was a learning experience, 1st case I split, and I made the splitter.

The dirt on this one was so heavy it masked broken plastics, and it just does not clean up like that filthy 066 did, seems to just have permanent stains.

Not sure. It s been a long time but I think it looked like that

That would be the third oiling scenario I have seen, worked on one with impulse straight from the crankcase. One with a pump on the crankcase. Interesting.
