Believe me it is that way around here for the most part as well. I work for a Husqvarna dealership so most of mine are pieced together out of the junk pile.
The Stihls prices are even crazier expecially since I have 4 full service deals around me.

The two biggest ones are an entire manual oiler set up and either a 2100 top cover or an 1100 air filter.(I have an 1100 top cover and a 2100 filter, it no worky)

I have a 285 tank. No manual oiler. Want it? I might have the top cover too,

In got another one to share! It was a Craigslist steal. Guy posted a non running 026 with case $85 said $75 was the lowest he would go. Held it for 4 days for me and drove 20 miles to meet me. The p/c were clean so I emptied the tank and added fresh mix. Took 11 pulls to pop and then it started but had a bog. Gave him the $75 he wanted and drove home. It needed a carb kit and a drum.

Traded a jonsered sign I pd a $1.50 for this saw, built it to a 288, had a P&C here, I decided to add new plastics, and other cosmetics, recently sold it, now I have another 1 to build, pd $12.50 for the next 1.

I got a text from a buddy while I was in a tree stand. Text said "I have an 044 for you if you want it". He is a local rep for Toro so he frequents a lot of saw shops. I text back and say heck ya how much? He says nothing I grabbed it for you at one of my dealers it's in the bed of my truck stop over and grab it! Later that night I do just that!

Dirty as heck and pretty much destroyed. Piston and cylinder trashed, bearings and seals were toast! This turned out to be my favorite resurrections to date! A quick call to @definativedave and my plan was laid for a hybrid! Had a lot of help from @Glock37 and he loves the black! Had input from a bunch of guys! It has turned out really well and from a initial cast of $0 I probably have less than $300 into it. Oh and I didn't realize when I first got the text that it was that special 044 Pro Model. Must have been the only one produced![emoji23]
