Lig splitter press?

Got a bushing i need to press out sometime in the next week. Been thinking about taking wedge off ram of splitter and making a flat push plate to take its place for a press.

my original thought was to use my 4 ton electric but not sure if it would be big enough. What you guys think. Anyone ever using splitter as a press.

Cause a nut cracker is all that would be needed for LDL.

I stuck the axles in a freezer overnight Livin in the woods sometimes you do things a little different.

I've used mine to straighten the 3pt frame on my brush hog when it got bent to chit. Amazing what a little back woods ingenuity will get you.

I have used my splitter for a press many times. I welded a cover for the wedge with a flat plate on it for bearings and such. A 2x4 works for breaking beads on tires.

I am turning my old one into a press.

Used mine many times on ujoints. Other things also. Just used a block of oak against the wedge.
