This price is with VAT, which if I'm not mistaken in Serbia is 20%, meaning the real price for business (w/o VAT) will be around $392.
In comparison, at a Stihl dealer here, the price w/o VAT of .404 RM or RS is about $330 (pricelist $392).

Poland. But since the well-known events a little more than 4 years ago, you can easily check for yourself how much more (or less) you pay than in other countries, because some dealers do mail order online and you can easily order yourself, for example, MS 661 or 881 with home delivery.
Stihl also usually lists recommended prices ("MSRP", not all products though) on the country's websites.

I've seen a bit of that thread about Stihl prices, so as an example this is the current price w/o VAT of 3/8 RS&RM 100 ft. rolls at a dealer here: $309.

In Croatia:
- 46 RCXK , 38950001480 - listed in dealer catalogue , can not be ordered
- 46 RCK , 38120001480 - listed in dealer catalogue , can not be ordered

Why?
WTF do I know, ask Andreas Stihl!

Same here. Differentiating offerings by market and even selling different devices under the same designation is a known issue.
You probably know that Stihl still has 070 (Made in Germany) or its “newer” variant MS 720 on offer for certain markets? Sales of this chainsaw in Europe and North America rather ended in the 1970s....

Stihl saws are not like Ukraine brides here, Stihl dealers in the USA cannot do mail-order.

Stopped by a dealer. Got the confused look, told it does not exist, ok yes the part number shows up but can't be ordered. Then told I should use Hexa because it will work better for my purpose.

Not sure they completely understood the situation starting with the whole Hexa isn't 404 and probably wouldn't hold up to running on a 880.

The level of "expertise" at a Stihl "elite" dealer is worrying. Also they don't make chain there, just what comes pre made in the box.

Still forbidden here but that is not to say some do not circumvent the rules.

I know that in America the traditional model still applies. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that. In Europe, this model was (and is) often attacked by antitrust authorities as “price collusion.” The so-called lockdown caused Stihl to decide to make changes when it comes to sales channels.

At the moment, at least in Germany, France and Spain, Stihl also sells their products directly through their online store with free delivery starting at €49 and free return within 30 days. So you can get yourself MS 881 directly from them.

How many hundreds of pounds?

Years ago I offered multiple internet savvy students in the web design program a good sum of cash to take my Homelite IPL's and catalog them into a searchable database. None of them took me up on my offer.
Just return shipping of your choice.

Any "dealer" who does not make chain is not a servicing dealer and not be selling saws.

I have a somewhat related question. If I were to send you a saw that had a customs value of $1000 what would you have to pay in taxes? What if I valued it at $100 would it change?

Set up a dirt-cheap 42" milling bar. And an equally cheap 122 dl .404 27x oregon micro chisel chain for milling a cottonwood that was too wide for the 36" bar. Didnt even change the angle. Not fast, not smooth, but stayed sharp. The drive link do have a single groove that directs oil to the rivets. Never needed a touch-up the whole job. Stretched a bit. I think every 3 16 ft long rips, I had to snug up chain tension.

But the chain/bar was under $200. So I can't complain. Finish on the 3" slabs was buttery smooth.

Was a hassle modifying the bar to stihl large mount, but oh well.
