Bad leaning Red Oak that was rotten in the center.
I bore cut it & left a larger than normal strap because I knew there wasn’t much left of it.

Turned it a bit & pitched it down the hill in the general direction it was leaning.

Same thing but with more stable heart wood & less lean.

The rest of this job were Pines.

That top one makes me nervous and I did t have to cut it.

It was out over that driveway a good bit & leaning hard. I was able to turn it a fair amount with the face & bore cut.

Years ago a well was dug & a water line put in on the back side of the tree: it appears the roots were compromised then & this was the outcome.

I won't advise anyone to use that place. They sold me a bad cylinder that covers wouldn't even fit on(decomp in the wrong place), and wouldn't do a thing to take care of the issues. As I told them, anytime I can pay it forward I would...

Little cherry I cut "up" that was near the barn and had a bad split show up recently.

I thought this looked kinda fun, I flushcut the stump of three birches that was growing together and turned it upside down. Will see if I can do something with it, if it dries without too many cracks...

@JimBear that stump would be cool to mill...
I am not sure it would be worth it all those off shoots often make a lot of creases & cracks.

It will most likely look like that other butt end I showed. BUT I have several like that I can cut one & use the chain sawmill to see what it looks like.
