It popped and ran for a little bit but then all I could get was an occasional pop.

I guess I took enough out of the squish.

I just shopped around for a plug that was indexed correctly.

which way do you want the plug indexed? with the gap toward the top of the chamber or towards the piston? or another way?

Swap to a non protruding plug, easier than checking a bunch of different imo.

I’d like to see it with a little more exhaust and intake duration, 102-120-78 sounds feasible. Looks good as is.

Sounds lean.

What’s were your final numbers?

It takes a lot to hit the plug on those. I’ve added a divot to the piston crown in the past for it, but I take less from the base now.

Much easier to assemble the entire intake tract onto the jug and then install in one fell swoop. I usually grind the case area where the intake partition drops. I don’t touch the rear pads anymore because I take less off the base.

The enemy of success is perfection. Looks pretty damn good to me.

That's where it made the most power. Any more fuel and it would 4 stroke at 13.5-14 and not have as much grunt.

104/120/75

It's turning 10.8-11k in the cut. With the way everyone talked about these I expected more. I'll have to drop that bar and chain on another saw to get a better feel, it's a pretty hungry chain!

Hitting the plug isn't a big deal, that plug was indexed in the absolute worst position.

Parked on a shelf and run one of your 562s?

Possibly a bit more ignition, or fuel, see if it picks up with the fuel.

Or give it a bit more duration.

I don't have any 562's around but I feel they would have more power.

I plan to put a timing light on it and see where it's at. Probably add a little more to see if it likes it.
