I worked on a 441 for a friend. Once I pulled the top cover off, I was like "oh hell no..." The 044 is much more mechanic friendly in my opinion...

I think @Adirondackstihl specializes in 441 tank replacements .

It takes the box a washing machine comes in to hold all the peices.

I don't like how they run,far to heavy.

I've ran lots of them and lots of strong ones but again I feel it's to heavy for the power.
A 064 hybrid is not much heavier and has way way way more power.

I'll take the 044 over the 044 hybrid and either over a 372.

I like all stihls,some run better for there size than others and some are easier to work on than others.
In a years time 80% of the saws I port or fix are 1122's,none are hard just some are easier.

I'm building a 362 for the 12 saws of Christmas,it's in peices in a box,when I get back to the shop I'll post a picture of it

This one was bouncing off 11k letting self feed ,9k if i dogged in cutting this balsa old growth cedar ,with 32 inch bar and .404 skip ,this is the strongest 440 i have ever run though .My 066 flat top i used to have made more power ,but for working many hours ,this lil guy produces a lot less sweat on me .

There's no tree here that you can cut with a 044 and a 32" 404.
I have a 32" 404 and it takes a bull dog to run it good. If you could do that here I'm sure I would but we use 90cc saws for clearing fence rows,it's just what you get use to.

I am glad i don't live there There is not a tree around here a 70 cc wont take out .

I've run that 32" bar and skip 404 on the last 044 I had. Oak about 28" or so. Couldn't push on it but it did pull it.

He works on those standing on his very own personnel platform, or as we call them, a 5 gallon bucket.
