K&N filters for Stihl models

They still do not stop the fines that well but perform well.

They flow more than a reg paper filter, and can be washed with soapy water to clean them , i spray super clean on them and rinse with a hose ,use the k& n oil though ,do not use air to clean or can damage the fibers ,i have one in my dodge pickup also,used to run them on my atvs also

The K&N should fit any saw that uses a OEM HD2 filter. It is a direct replacement.

They are for the saws that have the rubber ring gasket that usually gets removed when you use a HD2

You probably can just use a back plate from a max flo for the K&N

Not yet ,Wish they made one for the 660 though,the 440 one wont fit ,it is too thick

Got mine on tonight and it seems weird not having a back plate....however that fear went away when I placed into the cover and heard a very audible clicking noise and seems to fit very snug.

Added a little oil to the mating surfaces. Put on a green prefilter and I am interested to see how it does!!
