Or that.
Or run it, then take it back apart and try a thinner gasket as Al recommended.
I'm kinda like @USMC615 is towards his wimmins on this project, noncommittal...
I like an 044 with an 044 top end. And...an 046 with an 046 top end.

Hybrids are cool.....but I've never seen the actual need.

Yeah, that too.
I can fill all my wood hacking requirements with my Mofo 036 too, so there's that..
I have a MOFO 034S, a MMWS 357XP, and a MMWS MS361R, a MMWS CS6100, and Jon has a MMWS 562XP. I think we are covered in the 60cc class.

Yeah, hard to split that hair, but if ya have the itch, get to scratching I reckon.
The 044....light and 70cc

The 046....heavier, but 77cc and a larger fuel tank. Its almost as if Stihl built the chassis for the bigger displacement.

All I ever had for 60cc was that one you ported for me. I built three over the winter for myself as they seem more pertinent for a big saw with age.

Welded the deflector nuts to the inside of the muffler so in the event the bolts loosen up the nut couldn't get inside the case and make some piston cookies.

And gave it a coat of "brand new muffler".

Also got the tank today and got a new starter handle/rope from the dealer so I should have it running this weekend if all goes well.

I recalled that there was a screw missing for the muffler to the case.
After digging through my bags of screws, I realized that the M6 by 20mm long ones are the only ones I don't seem to have..
So, I made one.

Close enough for a simple guy from WI.

Cut it off, hit the edges with a file and good to go.

The fuel line and Stihl filter in the tank Doc sent looks prime. So I'm going to run them.

Popped off the vent hose, everything looks in order, so I swapped it over

Pulled out the impulse. Wasn't gentle, if it was going to rip, I wanted it to now.
It looks good, so I'm going to use it.
