Ok.....a few pictures.

On the 395 (and the 3120) I enlarge the opening to the transfers by raising the top of the opening.

Here's how I know where to stop.



It's tough to tell from this picture, but the amount of material that comes out of this area is mind blowing.

This whole jar of swarf came outta these 6 jugs.

The uppers get raised....but not widened much at all.



The exhaust is also raised some, and widened a little.

I don't touch the intake port on the bore side. The opening point lands at 81°, and the width is plenty. To add more size to this port could accelerate skirt wear, and even cause skirt breakage.

On the inlet side, I remove the casting lines, match it to the boot, and smooth it out cleanly.

I remember that guys posts too. Thats when I learned about eye bleach. Didnt he have a picture of a cow as his avatar? Always talkin about snackies.
