The powers that be here in Tennessee sided with the insurance companies. They have cut back Medicare rather than expanding it. If you have a pre-existing condition, well, Obamacare is your only option.
I dont know how the Obamacare system work in reality, our Norwegian system is far from perfect even it's cheap.

Sounds like a hernia?

Doc said he thinks I ripped the groin muscle away from the pelvis bone. But....without doing an MRI he's really just guessing. A sports hernia sorta fits too. I've been checked for other types of hernias, but a sports hernia can be a blowout that you can't see, and causes terrible pain by pressing on some nerves. That fits pretty well.

Some hospitals have programs for people that, (oh how should I put it?) are monetarily challenged. I did this when I had my hernia, that helped with the hospital bill, then there was the Doctor. Fortune came my way when I talked to my doctor, he was going to Africa on a hunt. I traded my $3000.00 Doctor bill for a 1966 Browning Safari .458 Winchester Magnum, with all the trimmings on it. Was a nice rifle, but I miss my intestines poking out of me a lot less.
So it's not impossible to do some good old fashioned horse trading for some doctoring. The bird in the hand adage I guess. So get out and find a Hospital you can work with, then a doctor in the Hospital.

It needs to be Socialized, plain and simple.

Obamacare is an Obamanation.

Putting political gain ahead of the people.

Worse now than it's ever been.

I'll talk to a few of my buddies. You throw a gutted cow in you truck and drive up, we'll get u mended.

Mike I would be willing to bet it has nothing to do with the fuel. I bet he was running it hard with a dull chain. Happen twice to my dad loaning out his saws. He provided the mix for them to use and he uses 91 octane.

Dan, I agree with you, but if higher octane fuel runs a bit cooler, ya got a bit of a cushion.

Obama Care is a nightmare, now poor people can afford health care, and the middle class can not, pure socialism.

And as a Tax Preparer, I will tell you, Stump Shot is absolutely correct. They ask you all these questions during the year w/o any one knowing what the end of the year will look like, disaster waiting to happen!

Putting insurance in between the patient and the doctor does nothing but add an unnecessary payment and result in poorer service & waste. Very, very stupid.

Someone with insurance only asks "Am I covered".

Someone paying their own, or with an HSA askes "Do I really need it, how much does it cost, what other options are there, etc". Case closed!

The purpose of Obama Care is to add to the rapidly impending bankruptcy of our Nation.

Sorry for the derail, just had to vent, back to chainsaws!

I guess I'm poor enough that it's worked great for me.
I have pre existing so I can't get anything else or its 700$ a month.
I build saws for a living and the 200 a month I pay for insurance is enough.

I've had it a while and have had no tax problems. It's the only option is have some when it's gone I'll go back to not going to a doctor.

It might not be awesome but going to the emergency room without it isn't awesome either,Obamacare won't bankrupt me but the hospital will.

I'm really reluctant to say anything here. I really don't like when this stuff gets political. However, "case closed" is not really accurate.

If you don't have a lot of extra money laying around, and you've got medical problems, it's not as simple as "do I really need it" often just getting a diagnosis costs thousands of dollars. Tests are needed and expensive. Do I really need it? Yes. What are the alternatives? Put off testing and diagnosis sometimes with tragic results.

Don't get me wrong, I hate health insurance companies. Single payer is the only civilized way that we can handle the situation. In my opinion anyways. No system is perfect by any means, but when good folks are getting crushed by medical debt, something has to change.

I hope it's better here than the Australian system, if you have insurance here they rape you for every penny. A good friend had a fractured vertabrae, he signed a form for an mri and they used that as premission to let some students stick a coach bolt straight through his spinal column, no comeback at all.

A specialist was also pushing my 75+yr old mother in law to have a hip replacement, she only needed a *f-wording massage!

Good luck my friend

You are missing my point, I did not say that we did not need a change, but this system just increases costs and shifts who is getting screwed. If you step back from who it helped you personally or not, it just sucks. Talk to all the middle class people who are paying through the nose to have coverage with thousands of dollars of deductibles, and ask them what they think of it?

In the meantime, illegals continue to get free coverage, not a small problem. The solution we got was not the solution we needed. Not only did the cost go up, not down, but most places are proposing double digit increase again this year. How long can this continue before the house of cards collapses?
