I knew be along to you’d try to find a way to turn this around.

Randy wasn’t pumping up Stihl, just reporting his findings.

Offended You Are.
Humorous It Is.

I hate it seems that way to you. I'm simply reporting exactly what I see on my bench. I do ten times more new Stihl saws, and have yet to tear a single one down and find these sort of issues.

I did pull an MS362 apart once to find a rough bevel on the strato port scratching the piston.

One saw.....

Since I started porting saws, I've done about 2000 saws. So, it's safe to say that I've likely torn down more new saws than anyone you know. If not, direct me to them, I'd like to compare notes.
Oh I have zero doubt about it Randy. I trust what you’re sayin. I don’t have the kool-aid running through my veins. My saws are tools, not loved ones with names. Lol. Imo these kinds of rallies really stir up the brand wars. Just look back at the wake. I hate seeing it. Guys callin out guys for totally unrelated issues. The door is open, signs lit.
What’s the saying, dog eat dog world and someone is wearing milkbone panties?

How about buying a new 1300.00 saw and having to buy a AM filter setup so it functions properly? They have had there own mtronic issues so much that guys have spent more money to change them to.carb versions. I could go on...
Please take the @Jon1212 quoting training.

Also,

What’s all these the Steal problems you speak of?

Hell, no different than tractors and trucks. Name a brand and I'll give you a list of their faults. All have good and not so good models, and all have hat hits and misses in tech, and QC. Right now, Husky is essentially sucking hind tit. That's just the way it is. How many Cadillacs and Lincolns were POS's over the years, and they are (supposed to be) the top shelf names of their brands... Should that be happening? Hell no. But, here we are.

I remember an anecdote about how the US government has a contract with Ford to produce cars for them, but that the government only wanted cars made on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I guess they knew that statistically people were sloppy on Monday, and rushing on Friday, and they wanted to limit their exposure to mistakes.

It don't matter if you're American or swedish, you're only human.

But it does seem like the varsity team graduated and husqvarna is starting the JV string in the factory this year.

Dealers who move heavy volumes of saws over the counter remove them out of the box start them & tack tune them WFO out back, put some fancy premix in them & send them out the door. The OP does somfin completely different in the fact he gets batches of new out of box saws, strips them near to the bone running his eyes & hands over every part before stuff'in multiple narnas inside then....puts em all back together. Yes he likes Stihl saws, no new facts there. But if you trust what he's saying (which most of us do) I find what hes got to say very interesting. Its not exactly 'new news' that Huskies assembly facilities aren't on par with others. We can't report stuff like this when we look a handful of saws a year, he CAN.

sounds about right. husky quality started going down hill when the 371 came out in 1996

No thanks. Those are almost as poor in quality as Husqvarna.
