It seems like Husqvarna is fixing a problem, not causing one. How can the saw loose screws if they are never installed? It's all about perspective, you're welcome and gfy

My local magistrate never liked my excuse that my screws were never installed in the first place...and it damn sure won't work in this thread.

Man, and I thought this was about Randy always being a poor, miserable soul. Kinda hard to be happy, happy, joy, joy with all this trench warfare going on. Speaking of trench warfare, in WW1 the Brits tunneled under the German line, close to 20 miles of tunnels in a 10 mile stretch. Packed it with 400 tons of mines. Yep, largest man made boom before atomic bombs.

Did you know there is at least one of those big mines that never went "boom".... its still sitting there as far as I know. Waiting.... not that a discussion over missing screws could ever casue a comparable explosion!
Keep up the entertainment folks. Its good to know who has a screw loose and who has no screws at all ;)

I don’t see this as a brand bashing at all. Thanks for the heads up Randy, your observations keep us in the know with what to watch out for if/when we buy new stuff. But this just reaffirms my plans of sticking with my old 2-series saws. Seems like every time I think about taking the 5 series plunge another problem comes to light and I say frig that.

Personally, I’m not all that surprised by what you’ve found. This day and age is about keeping production costs low, not quality. Same poor QC thing happened to Winchester rifles in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Remington is going through it now. All around disappointing whether we’re talking about saws or anything else that’s not as good as it used to be.

Surely this thread isn't about wether Husqvarna make a worse or better saw than anyone else ??
After all , when Randy sends the saws off to there owners they run and are just fine !!
My take on his beaf is, he is fed up with having to put right what should be right from the factory ! ...at his cost to I bet !
Tell me I have my take wrong Randy ? @Mastermind

Toasters and coffee pots don't last as long as they used to either. Grrr

Coffee pots! Pfft... My coffee simply doesnt last long enough! What to do. Oh, wait, that is my problem and easily solved :)(Incidentally its absolutely tipping it down outside and whilst I am waterproof under my clothes, I really dont fancy venturing out of the office into cold, horizontal rain to get a good coffee.)

I hear ya.......but there's no excuse for this.

Out of 6 372XTs I tore down a few weeks ago, 4 had intake boot issues related to being assembled incorrectly.

It's not at all unusual on new Huskys.
Don't tell me that, I was eyeballing one at the Co-Op yesterday. :(

Hell maybe I'm the guy that gets every messed up Husky that's ever been built, and the rest are perfect. If that's the case, you should be fine.

Speaking of which, did I tell you about the time I had a husky in my truck and the muffler fell off the truck.

It was on sale as the only reason for me fondling it. Went home and fired up my MMWS 461 and felt like I had cheated on her. I will admit I have way more Stihls than Hooskies, but that 395 you did for me is a fun SOB to run!

Unfortunately it's the way of the world currently.
Bean counters want production up, sales up and profit margins up.
Being from the automotive world, sure the vehicles of today have more bells, whistles and fancy features than ever, but the bare bones nuts and bolts and assorted parts they are assembled with are crappier than ever.
Most average joe, doesnt seem to care as long as their automatic ball warmer works..

We have a 2010 Dodge Journey. Love the car.....but the heater on the passenger side stopped working.

My wife wants rid of it asap.
