We have a 2010 Dodge Journey. Love the car.....but the heater on the passenger side stopped working.

My wife wants rid of it asap.

I see it way too often where people are willing to spend a couple hundred dollars to fix their heated seats, but wont spend a similar amount to replace a loose tie rod or ball joint. :drink:

No matter what the industry; ALL manufacturers have problems. Ford, GM, Dodge, Sig, Glock, Colt, Noveske, Oregon, Husqy, Stihl, Echo, Dolmar, Makita, DeWalt, Craftsman, Snap On, Mac..... The list is continuous.

The fact that we have individuals that will and somewhere to point out what they find is the most important thing. Will this keep me from buying a Husqy? No. Will it reinforce the fact that even new equipment needs to be looked over in detail? Absolutely!

I applaud the man for pointing it out. Do i believe he will stop selling Husqy? Not as long as there is a market for them. He would be a fool to do so. Honest feedback is what is NEEDED. That and a good rapport with Husqvarna tech staff and bringing these issues to them so they can ATTEMPT to fix it. If Husqy told him to piss off, well then now we are talking about some boycotting or social media retaliation. Just a couple strongly worded FaceSpace posts with pics can do A TON of damage to them in a very short period of time. Didn’t peeps here and in other forums jump on Stihl with some issue and got it resolved or addressed? Something with the MTronic? Squeaky wheel and all that.

I'm just a newb and really don't have anything to offer but I appreciate the heads up. I only buy new saws, well because I have zero time to work on them, and the few hundred bucks difference new/used really won't affect me in the long run. It helps make an informative decision later on. I'm not a hater anymore. Don't tell @RI Chevy but them creamsicles kind of growing on me a bit. That NOS 036 that doc fellow did up made me all giggly. A please correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't I hear Randy built this playground? If so he can post up whatever he wants.

No thanks. Those are almost as poor in quality as Husqvarna.

Really? Come on now, they can't be that bad. LOL

It's not been a secret that Husqvarna QC has been going down hill for quite some time. Supposedly they are seeking to do something about it, I'm thinking we should see this in the newest 5 series coming out, Might be a heck of a time to quit on 'em is all I'm saying, if they do manage to pull their *s-word together.

Was the gasket busted too?

No sir. And I seriously doubt there would have been an air leak because of the missing screws. After the sheer number of messed up units I've pulled out of Husqvarna boxes over the last few months, I'm just fed up with their lack of quality control.

Didn't I hear Randy built this playground? If so he can post up whatever he wants

I didn’t build this site, nor do I own it. I'm just a lowly moderator.

I'm sorta over it Steve. I don't need the headache .

Or its Randy's fault...........

Well of course.

It ain't just chainsaws. I've been a contractor for getting close to 30yrs now. I do a bit of everything but, professionally only do Roofing, & Carpentry. The majority of my work is remodel, & repair work (Re-roof, fix leaks, build decks, build garages, etc).

Over 90% of the issues I run into, are LABOR related. Meaning, it is very rarely a material failure. The previous installer/contractor was either unqualified, didn't care, or a combination of both. There are many folks masquerading in the building trades as tradesman.

And that is an excellent point. The guys that are pissed at me for pointing out these issues are missing the fact that I'm not saying the saws are junk.....I'm pissed about the lack of quality control on the assembly process.

Seems to me, the complete moral of this story...
Get a new saw from a REPUTABLE builder, whether it’s been doctored up, monkeyed with, or extra bananers...( many others), and have peace of mind that everything is done right.
Should they be done right in the first place.....fuk yeah. However, mass production definitely can take it toll on quality. And QC...lol, if it’s human QC...someone is probably too busy playing grab ass to do a quality job. Computer QC...I have no clue, but a noted before, likely photos and weight...which I imagine, a couple screws missing, or a folded intake boot will not get noticed.

As a reputable builder, one cannot afford to allow the types of mistakes the big companies pass through. The big companies pay to get them fixed, or hand over a new saw. Builders have a name to keep, and new saws are expensive!!
