Got him cleaned up and running. One of the contacts of the ignition points was loose and couldn’t make a clean break. Fortunate to find a NOS set and now have good spark. Cuts well for its age!

Tough question.

Does anyone know if a 3270 full wrap bar can be adapted to fit a 3200? I can't figure what the difference would be but the PN's are different.
Different PN's for the the regular bars on the IPL's too.

Thanks

@Basher: I agree, she is in overall good shape although she has her spots:

I had to repair the wrap handle since it was broken and been fixed with a flat iron rod

and the coating did suffer badly from my cleaning efforts: Only seconds of contact with oven cleaner spray sufficed to bleach the painting, very good visible underneath the "Easy Arc" decal which protected the coating from cleaning detergent.
The AF-cover has its bottom-left edge broken but I think that's acceptable...

The quality of Pioneer's coatings is very confusing IMHO: This one bleached when exposed for a few seconds to alkaline medium, on a different Pioneer of mine, the coating on the saw's body could be peeled of by tearing a decal from it while the same saw's pulley
I had to take to a professional sand blasting shop to get the paint off.

That's an extremely beautiful shelf queen!
Only thing puzzling me: Shouldn't the starter rope route above the blank guide-roll
instead of below it like shown on your saw? At least IPLs and owner's manuals
seem to suggest the former.

That`s right and it was rerouted shortly after that set of pics were taken, It has not even been pulled over by the recoil since it was built, I have a new set of pics of it somewhere.

We had out second GTG this past weekend. One of the games involves cutting a white ash cookie in some pretty wide cc classes. I won the 60 - 80cc class again this year by a scant margin with my 3200. Quick saw. Totally stock.

I think there were about 15 entries with a mix of older and newer saws in that cc ran.ge.

I hit 4.31 seconds in a approximately 14" log.

The saw is a beauty to look at. Everyone thinks it's an aberration.

I like that, I know where there’s a 3270s, might be a fun project.
I did have a 3200 before and was impressed with its power.
I have sold most of my Pioneer saws to make room for my growing PM Canadien saw collection.
But some are keepers.
It would be nice to have more room, when I buy a few I have to pick a few to sell.
Shelves are full 4 are in boxes ready to put together. A3FF047F-F26E-4224-883B-2A982FDB4033.jpeg
