Repairing some saws for a local guy and with the two stihls he brought his very first saw and asked if I wanted it. It’s a pioneer holiday one of the first ones has the stack exhaust and choke carb no primer. I’m sure I can get it goin but am wondering if they’re even worth anything because I’m sure he’ll want that taken off his bill for the repairs. Don’t want to give him much for it that’s for sure so I need to decide to keep it or give back and bill for the 290 and 291. It’s not very nice shape saw either pretty well used

guess it’s nicer than I thought when it dropped it off it was black with oil so not bad shape but still not thinking it’s worth a lot. Any opinions?

If you are a die hard pioneer collector then you have to have one.
As you can tell they are the same as other Pioneer saws, as that one has yellow parts.
The plastic air filter cover is usually broke or cracked which matters to the die hards.
Probably value it the same as a Homelite xl 12 plus a bit for the "Holiday, but minus a bit for the yellow parts

This one has a metal air filler cover but is missing a corner

Anyone have any manuals or information for the IEL Beaver ?
I have one with local history i got from a museum that changed hands.
It would not rotate 360 degrees.Kept taking the next likely piece off till i found it.
A piece of brass caught under the cylinder.
I think it will run again,i have a parts Beaver coming if anything is super bad.

Thanks
The clutch is completely different.
It's all pretty basic, should be able to figure it out.
It's got the most basic carb i have seen yet.

I picked up a nice little P10 last week to add to my 34cc saws from the ones made in Trail,B.C.in the '70's & '80's.It looks to be in great shape.Other saws in my collection from that series are:Jonsered 361 (several),Partner 330,Danarm 1-36,Jobu SL2,Skil 1616.The only saw that I'm now missing is the Husky 35.

I got the P10 yesterday & it fired on a prime.I checked the needles on the carb later & found they were both open only 1/4 turn.I'll put fuel in it today & see if it'll fire up.

I put fuel in the saw yesterday & tried starting it,but would only run on a priome.I pulled the carb & the diaphragms were as hard as woodpecker lips.Time for a rebuild.
