I’m about 87% sure I have 3-4x extra p40/41 top ends (or at least cylinders) in my box-o-parts... just PM me if needed...

Better than what I have now ... I hope I find something. I don't want to piece out the saw to recoup money. Rather have a neat running old pioneer saw to look at

I did find a nos cylinder but asking 175 for it. I can't swing that

For less than that you can get a p42 top end kit, but you will also need the newer coil. If you go that route you will have a great running saw for many years to come. The p42 kit also has the six transfers.

I think I will look for that kit. I can sell the ignition off this saw. Ty I didn't know that would fit. I'm new to pioneer saws

Rottman sales has the kit, and might have the coil as well. If it's the 6 transfer top end you will need to open up the case a little for the transfers. I went through it in detail on my p42 thread here. http://opeforum.com/threads/pioneer-partner-p42hp-build.14129/

Didn't get a name but yes he has ignition too for 68. Reading another thread I ordered ignition for a homelite that I guess needs the mounting holes extended a little. got that for 40 shipped

All my stuff is used as well... I’m pretty sure I have 2-4x 41 topends from the pioneer pick where I got a NU17, crap load of NOS parts, a bar shop, and a 750 (107cc).an IEL, a pioneer parts case and more...
