Last year there was a former mod and another so called tree guy asking me for stump pics. They claimed they could tell exactly how the tree was cut from a pic. I chuckled then put up these pics.

There are more places for political BS than forums .For that matter better options to hawk chainsaws like Craigs List for example but it is a free country .On that for the most part I've done fine buying parts and complete saws from the forums but you are buying a pig in a poke from somebody you do not know maybe 1,000 miles away .Recently I nearly got stung but I'm a crafty old coot and explained what wire and mail fraud are .It was a wake up call for me but I did get my $100 postal money order back .
Now saying all that regarding old 1960's gear drive McCullochs it's very limited who would even want one except a collector .Saying for example "it runs with a prime " doesn't help sell it .Besides that most forum sold saws will need some work .Some more than others .It also doesn't help to attempt to get premium prices like they are made of gold .My 2 cents worth on that subject .

Oh, you mean like what you did to me? Got my thread locked because I didn't trust people when It came to making trades? Or didn't like that fact I wouldn't trade a $1500 saw for a $1100 saw? Funny when people only hear one side of the story. Nothing political here that's for sure. This all about someone's ego..

I find many more idiots on CL and Facebook. Lots of pure scammers. There was a guy posting on CL wanting to buy saws. I asked him what models and he could not name one just "saws". He sent a pic of some hatchback car with about 10 saws in it. I sent him a pic of around 200 here and told him I would be home all afternoon. He texted back with an incoherent message.

Last August we actually were heading into a warm patch and I had a couple room AC units that someone with not much money could use. I put them on FB and kept getting the same stupid message asking if they were still available. I think it is some stupid canned message. I would reply yes and to call me. There was one person that called and said they would be out in a hour or so...........well tahtw as August and the AC units are still here.

It really is the fault of the forum management. They allow political discussion on the forum. That's crazy in this polarized environment. There is no polite discourse anymore when it comes to politics. They allow it, then when things get heated, they ban people. We all have very strong feelings about the direction we think our country should be moving in, but this is not the place to be airing that out. This is an OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT forum.

The main offenders don't really talk politics. I have serious doubts they are even actual human beings as they apply absolutely no logic to their banter. All they do it try to pass others off. They ate not interested in discourse of any sort.
The owner(s) need to permanently ban them as well as ban their ip addresses.

I don't deal out temporary bans usually. If we get any asses here, we boot them permanently.

The last time I was anywhere near there was on a trip back from South Dakota to take my 7 year son to compete in the National Pedal Tractor Pull Championship. On the way back from South Dakota when ran up south of Minneapolis to pick up a couple 2 man Mall saws.

Is that bottom picture locust? If so, I can't tell you how that tree was cut, but whoever cut it should have used dynamite to keep it from growing back...

After I'd been on the forums fo a couple of months several things I promised myself what not to do .Don't sell saws on the forums or custom rework any.I have however made custom parts for saws that ran in the Stihl series but those were built to their specs and respecting the builder I won't say what or how they are made .Never charged them the one red cent to do it .I've got better ways to make money like the stock market and other investments .Done well for a dumb country boy but it took me a life time . The saws etc. to me are only one of my many interests
