I didn’t know such a tool existed. I’ll have to make one out of a scrench.

I bought a 350 with a busted brake handle, and saved the part for friends with problems getting the brake unlocked. Not as handy as the scrench though.

Is there a Husqvarna part# database that can be searched?
I have a bunch of misc nos parts that I can’t figure out what they go to. I can enter part#s into a web search but it takes forever and often comes up with zip.

Would be awesome, but I don't think so. Even just understanding if their part numbers had a rhyme or reason rather than the randomness they seem to have would be nice!

Jacks Small Engines will let you look stuff up by p/n, but for really old parts it doesn't always work.

Picked up a parts lot off marketplace yesterday and am hoping to be able to at least make one saw out of it all. It’s looking like the only possible option is a 394/395 hybrid. Here’s a list of the cases that came with it all to build off of:

Have fun!!! I guess a thorough check to see what all you have there (including small parts, boots, cables...etc) and see what you come closest to. Might be worth it to bolt on a cylinder and do a leak down test to see if any seals are leaking...unless you are going to split the case of the one you choose and redo the bearings...etc. From what you show, you don't have anything in the 394/395 range, I would go for that to round out what you have.

Strip, fully disassemble and clean everything. Then inspect, looking for previously unseen damage. Throw out stuff that is not remotely repairable. Inventory what’s left and make a list using IPLs of what’s missing to build saws.
Don’t even bother trying to build something as is. Split cases, pull bearings, etc.

I would pair/match crank cases to usable cylinders . check the rod big brg, then seal the cyl to case so you can press/vac test not just the crank seals but the case gaskets and integrity of the case halves. Check the threads ...case and fuel tank.

Some members will build a saw up from ONE usable part so beware of cost overrun.

I remember an article in a biker magazine about a guy who somehow got hold of one part for a Harley Sportster, decided to build a bike. He haunted swap meets for years, accumulating one part at a time, and eventually built a pretty nice scooter for almost no cash.

Just felt like sharing.
