Yeah seen the SN break on several evilbay adds.

But, no joy for the early edition.

Get by with what’s on there for now.

Edit:
Hit BIN on one. $12 shipped! [emoji108]

I have an HS255 here that might work. 13/16” throttle bore. 1/16” larger.

But, idle adjustment screw is different.

Swapping with what

I converted another Practica last fall. I swapped the early equipped HS-163 with the later HS-254. Bumped up the venturi size from 15.9mm to 17.5mm. I swapped the throttle shutter from the 254 and shaft from the 163 onto the 254, so as to use the idle screw integral to the earlier case. I removed the original idle screw from the 254 and called it a day. I never ran it with the 163 to see if there is much performance difference. But, I am thinking bigger is better.

1st pic shows the final setup. 2nd pick shows the original HS-163 is in the middle. Full assembly with the HS-254 up top.

Looking for some new OEM parts for a 562XP in the EU. Need some stuff quickly to put together a project saw and am trying to avoid delays by customs, etc. Anyone have any Husky parts links?

Dandikrop AKA ‘The Greek’ seller on eBay. Your back yard.

I’ll post a link later from my desktop ‘puter’.

I'm not seeing what I need straight off. I'll probably write him and see if he can get the stuff I need. Looking for a crankcase gasket and crank seals and probably a muffler.

Anyone know which models have the same muffler as the 562XP?

Still working on my buddy’s 285. The oiler is locked up and the gear is stripped. He purchased another off eBay that we thought was supposed to fit but it won’t. The outside looks the same but the side that go’s against crank is different. First one of this style husky I’ve worked on. Didn’t realize the oiler housing also sealed the crankcase. Will any other oilers work on a 285 or just another 285 oiler? Think the place on eBay had this oiler listed for a 285/2100 but might be wrong. Back side that fits against case is smaller on the one he bought. Any help would be appreciated.

285, 2100 and 2101 used the 501-55-83-02 oil pump. I've also seen it listed for the 480CD, but believe that's incorrect according to the IPL part numbers I have.

Gonna be a tuff one to find. May want to check in on the 2100 thread for possible leads. May also get more search hits for the 2100 than the 285.

Top image is the pump bought as a replacement, bottom pump came off the 285. Only numbers I can find are these, pump off the saw has a bigger diameter sealing surface that go’s over the bearing in the case. The difference between the two is about 1/4”, 1 3/8 vs 1 5/8” and I know it’s metric but only had a tape to see approximate difference.

Would be fun to get anything out of that stash that Bobby Walker had his hands in.
