I just hope the engine module doesn't freak out when I port mine. With temp sensors and crankcase pressure sensors it may not like a lot of porting if it gets outside the set parameters.
Hope one of the tuner companies can hack the module and reprogram if needed
Doubtful if the system will be hacked, there are far too few of us chainsaw fans for smart people to make electronic hacks for us.
I’ll probleby just start with a MM at first.

That said, I'm looking forward to a 60cc size saw, slim powerhead, and 4kw.
In my book, perfect tool

I agree its just about perfect. I think it will be the perfect saw for the 50+ crowd firewood cutters. And they will sell lots!
I would think anyone that cuts commercially would just buy 2 562s for close to the same price. Especially after the price increase takes affect on the 564.
As a guy that can port a saw the 562 platform offers more power potential for 28inch bar work and no extra cost and only 8oz weight penalty.
I think the 564 is gonna be outstanding with a 20inch .325 050. It will handle a 24 for sure but that short stroke is not gonna like the 28 at all.

Why would you think that?

Why do you think the 562 would have more potential than the 564?
Your comment on the stroke is a blanket statement. A small change in stroke has a negligible affect. It will slow the piston speed down which will help with crank durability a bit.
To me the 562 is just a heavier, slower, older tech saw.

Why would I think that it may not like seeing temps rpms and cc pressure outside its programmed parameters?
Because like the 500i and autotune saws the parameters are pretty wide. I will bet you money it will compensate just fine.

I don't think its a blanket statement when I said I think it offers more potential for "long bar work". I thought it was pretty common for people to assume saws with longer stroke engines perform better with longer bars (vs similar size engine with shorter stroke)? Maybe I'm mistaken?

People assume alot of stuff thats not true. As I stated earlier the stroke differance is small. The 564 actually has a slightly longer stroke the the Stihl 400C which handles a long bar just fine.
