If anything, Scott, you should be offering help.

Do you? I'm still waiting for just one bit of info from you on the 550xp. I really dont think you know *s-word about them.

I also said this was one of my first build threads. I thought it would be interesting for all since there is none on a 550 pop up. Instead it turned into a tree monkey circle jerk.
I'd say your attempts to manipulate others to share hard earned secrets failed. Figure it out and let us know what you find.

I was curious about extra overhearing with timing advance

Scott told you that overheating the engine wasn't something you had to worry about with the mild mods you were planning. That answer somehow offended you. Please explain what you wanted to hear.....and why his answer offended you for extra points.

I'm the guy that doles out points BTW.

I was originally asking if anyone had more overheating issues when advancing timing. Good lord. Never asked for any help.

...and were answered, then rejected said answer for lack of Googleable cred and so on and so forth. How on earth you could pick the one guy that probably knows more about chainsaws, than the rest of the forum put together to call out on, is truly a wonderment.
Maybe you can listen to Mastermind, he's ported more saw's than Carter has liver pills, problably has a vidja or two too.

If he discounts what Scott tells him......he's not gonna listen to anyone.

Scott is like the Godfather of port work and stuff.

He might not realize that Husqvarna has tried damn near everything to make the 5 series stop having the hot start issue. And......not much has really helped. Adding a few degrees of heat ain't gonna matter to that saw......if it wants to start it will.....and if it don't wanna start.....

I know, just handing out an olive branch, can't make him grab it I reckon.
