Coils and carbs are not necessarily interchangeable on these saws. Especially with the OP's saw being a 2011 model as that is when the digital advance coil showed up. (week 21 of 2011). It's not like it won't work, but it probably makes for a fussy saw when trying to adjust it.
The latest coil came out in the second half of last year and is fully interchangeable. This coil has a different start curve, and combined with a smaller hole in the deco eliminates that "misfire" that would happen occasionally when starting the saw. The misfire didn't really mean anything, but once you hear that you normally think the coil is on it's way out. The deco will also help with flooding on cold starts cause some guys would pull the rope 20 times with the choke out and wonder why the saw was flooded. The old deco dropped the compression a little too much, so it was easier to pull but not easier to start, especially when new.
The low speed adjustment has always been touchy on this saw IMO. The sweet spot you need to find is narrow. Doesn't take too much extra fuel on the low speed circuit to cause fuel pooling in that divided intake. What I do is let it idle and then tip the saw pointing the bar towards the ground and see if it stumbles. If so I'll lean out the low until the idle stays OK when I point the saw down.
Gutting the whole intake makes all of this go away of course, and is usually done when guys mod these saws. But you shouldn't have to do that to make it run right and obviously most saws don't go to the modder's bench.
