This muffler I was just about to put in the scrap bin but I thought I should fix it, the front exit was ripped out and missing and it had 3 big cracks and had been sitting outside under a tree for years.
I really like the hinge on the front exhaust. That is a really cool idea, I may have to put one of those on mine!

I noticed that. I wasn't sure if that's how they were originally, as they're normally so beaten up.
No, they are not typically like that. Usually the front plate is held down by four screws. This one has been modified with a cool hinge modification! Easy to get in and clean the spark arrestor...if it has one.

Here is a standard one.

I'll have to look at mine when I get a chance, I think it's been welded up and just exits out the side.

The front exit muffler was the jungle muffler "option"? I guess. Very restrictive spark arrestor behind the cover.

Those mufflers didn't come with a top side exit.

Two little holes on each side of the cup. Husky called it a "Flame Protectorr"

My other 2100 has that flame protector cup but someone has made the holes bigger and more of them, I reckon they suck sawdust back into the cylinder if the exit is too big and free flowing.

That is restrictive. It sort of defeats the point of having a large square hole, just to put those 2 small ones in. Unless they were expecting them to be modified

Hi all, when the carburetor governor is disabled, what rpms will the stock or muffler modified 2100's run at?

Did some research on the o-ring that goes on the oil pump to seal the case on the outer bearing housing.
I got a 35 x 2mm o-ring and I felt it was a bit big and may be holding the pump up causing it to leak from the tank when laying on its side and suck air stopping the pump...... pumping.

It turns out the o-ring is actually 32.1mm x 1.6mm and I just ordered a pack of 10.

I recon this will fix it.

Also going to pull the muffler and double check the oil lines behind it.
Where did you order from? Any ideas for replacement oil pickup tubes? Snapped mine off in the case!

I don't think the gov disabled will do anything to it unless you pizz rev.it for an extended period of time .Keep in mind this model was the choice for years until Huqvarna came out with the 3120 .-used for a hotty .Mine is on the sick list awaiting a carb rebuild of which I'll dig deep this time .Get under the welch plugs, set the pop off pressure etc . That thing would really scoot a one time and it will again . I might add I've got a pair of Partner p-100's,same bore and stroke of a 2100 .One of the two I did plug off the rattle ball and it will run circles around the other .Fast but not as fast by a shade of what the big Husky could do at one time .That right there is what happens when a saw might sit for months or years and not be used .

Mine...waiting to get built...
Nice!! I finally got the bearings and crank back in mine and got the case halves back together. I still need to source a piston (Duke's is out right now :( ) and a Red Beard Air filter (I have the v-stack already). I am sure There might be a part or two I might still need, but won't realize it until I get back to that part of the build. I also just recently modified my fuel tank front end to allow for the dog assembly to mount to it properly. I can't wait to get it fired up!
