Yup, makes sense to me. I ain’t the best logger who ever lived... and the 572 ain’t the best saw that ever lived. I never said that. No saw is truely the best that ever lived anyway. I just pick the one that best suits the task I am doing. Choosing the right tool for the job is all it is. The 572 does what I need it to reliably and performance is very good. The 572 is probably one of the better “all around” packages. Its comfortable doing a lot of different tasks. A well rounded machine. My go to saw for most things. I have to say it’s one of the most reliable “electric carbed” saws I have used at least up to this point. It’s tough and can take rigorous use. Well except the chainbrake... but that was more my fault than anything. Lol

I AM the greatest logger who ever lived, even though I've never logged a day in my life. So naturally any saw I touch is the greatest saw ever... LOL

I was going to ask you if you thought, that since I mainly cut fir and cedar, if you thought a 572 could pull a 32" B&C. But I seem to recall that you answered my question earlier, before the monkeys started flinging poop.

Well Bob, if my information was incorrect (partly due to info posted in this website and partly due to Husky changing their published weight) then I will apologize, but what is the correct weight, because I have seen everything from 12.5 lbs to 13.2 lbs?

I also though that the 6 bolt case, in conjunction with the barrier to preclude the hot start issues, added some weight.

So you mean that all that time that I got ridiculed for getting a 362 Ver I instead of a 562, because the 562 was so much lighter, was just a bunch of bunk, and you never stepped in to say anything??? I said back then that I picked up both saws in the same store at the same time and they both felt about the same to me. I guess despite all the ridicule that followed that I was correct all along, but I don't expect any apologies to be forthcoming.

Wait … someone went off topic … let's call the internet police!

If you followed along, you would see the connection/evolution.

That’s a tough question. I think yes they do pull a 32” with skip decent in softwood stock.. but I think for a dedicated 32” bar saw a 390xp is a better option. Or better yet wait for the new 90cc replacement husky.

Mike. Just let it go. No worries. The weight is really so close it's meaningless. Just run what you want. Leave this thread to the 572 guys...
Just my 2 cents. Six of one, half-dozen of another...

People are hilarious, they believe rumors from their neighbors, cousins, best friend's father's, son-in-law and post it up as fact. I see it here, on YouTube and elsewhere. I also laugh at the claims of how many hours some of these guys say they have on a saw, the math never add up right.

All the pro 70+cc saws are pretty much awesome, if you think otherwise, well good for you.

I bet in an average 8 hour day for a ground worker with a tree service you have 15 minutes total time on a chainsaw. The rest is the real work part.

Obviously that depends on the job..but it's not as much as someone would think.

That’s why I like logging, more chainsaw time! I have respect for you residential guys though. I did that for a year before I started working for the logging company. Not easy work. Spend all day on one tree sometimes.

I can only think of a handful of times I literally cut all fukkin day. Did a bunch of dead ash trees a while back and the guy wanted all the wood cut into firewood lengths and quartered, and the tops chipped. I had to run 10 or so tanks of gas through a 461 that day, all the noodling ate the gas up. I hated it.

But that's not very often.

I bought my 572 in July 2018.
I work between 7 and 8 hours/day.
If I remove the weekends, vacations, etc., there's 228 days at work per year.
Now, if you remove 28 days because of the weather, or for any other reason, let's say I cut 200 days/year.
Now if I remove 2 hours per day for walking between trees, filling the saw, hitting wedges, etc., there's 5 hours of real run time for the saw. And it is probably under reality.
I sharpen the chains at home, I had no wealth issues or injuries during this period, and it's the only saw I used (I take my Mmws 562 as a backup saw if needed).

Let's do the math. I think 2k hours is really close to the real run time.

What I see is the 562 being left behind if it is not updated or replaced, which is what I meant about competing with Stihl, the MS400 is a good deal stronger and very little heavier than a 562, people will be aware of this, and many will choose the Stihl, before this, the 562 had only the 362 to compete with.
Correction: the MS400 is somewhat stronger and very little lighter than a 562
562xp 3,5 kW 6,0 kg
362 3,5 kW 5,6 kg
400 4,0 kW 5,8 kg

EDIT: I know this information is not related to the original topic, but false statements should be corrected!

Gotta hook her up to the computer at your dealer and you’ll know for sure, I would definitely be interested to see how much.
