I think he only has the one, so he can switch off if it gets too hot I would suppose and am just a junior mod.

I think your 462 just edged out the 572 in the cant cut.

Incorrect. I got a 14.5 and 15 seconds cut. Mark’s 462 or Mike’s (not sure who’s it was)... got a 15.5 I believe. 572 was on its first tank and running stock round chain. It’s pretty pointless to compare not using the same bar and chain however.

Simmer down now... I was standing next to Mark when he timed one of the cuts. 462 ran a 14.5...
But you are correct with keeping the variables in check.

Mine was running a slight bit faster than Mark's due to the muffler mod. He also said it felt a little "snappier".

Not bad times at all for a basically stock saw … that White Oak cant was tough stuff!

What were the 7900 times?

Mason's 7900 was pretty fast. All within that 13 to 14 second range. His may have been that 13.3 time.
He has done most everything to the saw short of porting it. So it isn't stock...

Let us also remember that the 462 and 572 were stock saws and the 572 running stock out of the box round chain. They were running against highly modded saws, pretty impressive how the times weren’t that far behind. These new 70cc saws aren’t slouches.
