His 661 is a runner for sure. I really like the way it handles too. Look forward to seeing this comparison
Yeap and it's hard to tell when running 2 different saws at different times in different wood but it'll be close I am sure of that. Not sure which one will prevail.

We shall see. It'll be fun
How many drivers are you running on your 41-2 bar?
I have some harvester chipper skip to make some loops with :)
It needs ground but it looks like good stuff. Hard like Oregon H16-18. The top plate is pretty flat on this cutter. Should do well on long bars.

My verdict on the 661 is that it’s a light heavyweight like the 390xp. Similar size and capabilities. The oiler and av aren’t as good on both as on the 394/5 for big bars. The torque difference is noticeable as well as air filtration. All good machines, just built for slightly different workloads is how I look at it. 394/5 is rated to pull and oil a 4ft bar stock.

That was a 37" 3/8 in the video. 119 links. I also have a 42" 3/8 124 link bar for it

395 will oil a 4 foot bar no problem. With a 42 my oiler isn't even turned up all the way

I had the owner of a tree service call the store a couple of days ago, he said he had a 395 with a 60" bar on it and they had a job that it wasn't enough. Wanted to know if I had a 72" bar in stock.

Sounds like back pain to me it’s bad enough running the 60 on the rare occasion but a 6 footer I’ll start blocking the face out and cutting windows before running that.

He agreed with you after I got off the Phone with the Cannon distributor. Neither Husqvarna or Oregon offer anything bigger than a 48" anymore and Cannon said it would have to be custom built. Price tag was :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I need a bigger saw for my next mill. The 660 is done with the 42". Fills the 36" mill just right. I have 128 drivers for it in 3/8. Internal GB roller. It will run any pitch up to 404. A 395 adapted could run a loop on the hard nose for fun. I won't mill with 3/8 on it. Still waiting on the 48" LP mill bar. That is a lot of full comp.
