Yessir. The 12 is faster on down cuts. Too easy to stuff it in the up cut. I actually only run a 9 on it racingWith a race chain it would be a different story. A 10 pin seems to be the hot setup for cant racing on a 394/5.

Yessir! Mr. Carr is among the best. You start to get used to the power...till you pick up my mostly stock 288 or significantly modded 372xpw...then you regain some perspective, in a BIG way. It's not only powerful, but dern fast to boot! Has an insatiable appetite for large hardwood. I mainly use it for processing down large sugar maple, usually 3' diameter and up.
