I file the gullets at the same angle as what the double bevel made on the sideplate, which is usually more angle than the top plate

I use a 5/32 file for this. 3/16 works too, but you have to be more careful not to hit the working corner

If you look real carefully at that cutter you can see I also tunneled it a bit. We'll save that for the next lesson. Lol

Hey John, when you file the gullet under the filed tooth, do you file it on an angle, the same as the top strap, or at a 90* angle straight across?
