Sweet lookin' tooth! Some Stihl 3/8 I been running, I really like the durability of it. It's harder on files, but it does hold up well in hardwoods like this. View attachment 84917

Thanks Jeff, it's hand filed. Wish I had a silvey grinder!Hand-filed or machine ground?

Someday. IdkYou gonna buy a new one?
You mean the side plate?
If you got a saw with big power, and soft, clean wood, then yes.Yes, I believe thats what I ment.

You can put a little side beak on the cutters, to make the chain a little hungry. Some don't like to have to shove too hard when racing.
For that gearing, I'd use bout this much. The chain will be used on my piped 064/056 magll, so 98.5 cc's with a short bar and 9 pin. It should have the big power you are talking about.
Beautiful cutter. Which files do u prefer? For that gearing, I'd use bout this much.

Keep the rakers less than .025 till you can test it for load.
This cutter measures .019.
You gonna be running in 10x10?
Or 12x12 up at Scott's?
