Converting RS..... how's your file holdin up?

I've done 6 84DL and 2 72DL chains.
I use the save edge to convert and the Stihl to resharpen. It's still doing good.
How long do most get on their files?

I have never really paid attention to how long they last.

Most of the chain are brand new. I save the foot and 2 foot pieces at the end the 100' roll. So I spin some up when ever I need a chain.

I could, converting really doesn't take that long with a file, maybe 6 good swipes. I think I'm just hard on files. I need to use less pressure.

I just did this a couple nights ago for the 1st time. I used a raker file and it didn't take long. 15 minutes maybe on a 20" chain.

On a few good used chains I would take the gullet back on the bench grinder then start filing. Or should I just use a round file

Round file is quick and easy, especially if you have a chain vise. I use a 7/32
