Took me about a half a chain to get my angles consistent. How's it look?

Actually, that tooth is gonna be very sharp and cut fast for a little while, but it won't last long, the line should be from the outside corner to the inside corner for a strong top plate, the top plate on that tooth is very thin.
Other than that it looks great.

Ok. I'll change up and see what I get and post later. This is a chain someone trashed the drives on.

Just sharpened a converted 3/8 50 LGX. It was sent to me years ago with a six point file to sharpen it with. Looks just like Brians pic now. It still had a round side plate before the touch up. That file is really weird to hold and get the top plate face angle straight across. It is real easy to screw up the angle.

On a square chain how low do most run the rakers? The chains I've filed and tested so far is a 20 and 25" RS. I have a couple at .030 and one real aggressive. I'm running it on a ported 460 putting out good power. I'm sure theres more variables

.030 works well for me.

Got some time today to run down and pickup those stihl square files. Part number on the box is 7010 871 0006. He said when he typed it into the computer it automatically goes to the number for the triangle files they currently sell. He can not get anymore.
