How to square file

Decided to mess around tonight with an extra Oregon chain I had and this is what I got. What do you guys think?

Very nice working and inside corner. I like the straight up tall side plate also.

Thank you, it's not completely at a 90* it has a litltle lean for better self feeding but not too much were the corner will be weak.

That chain will cut very smooth if all of them look lie that .This is how mine come off the grinder for work ,they seem to hold up pretty good, random .404 for a sample cutter ,my vise table is a little loose so my corners get missed here and there .

Big gullet is longer chips and can make it a bit more aggressive.

I could cut with that, somebody,s gonna say you should clean the gullet.

Only reason I do gullets so much is some of my files hit it and dig in on that edge. Easier filing without it in the way

For one i use for work ,i wait till 3rd grind for gullets ,do not touch the rakes till they tell me too ,when chips get long it is time for rakes

That looks cool, just some cheap reading glasses here. I cheated, those chains are ground. Wish I could file like some of you guys can. My file work I'm not too proud of. I am getting better though.
