I’ll second that. I also like that in the “how to square file” thread, the best advice is to buy a grinder

Finally got my hands on square file
But the only one i could find is goofy
Anyway, quickly grabbed an old chain and gave a shot.

I'll second this. I got way betterer at square filing while in the field after I got the simington.

I do it all by hand, so I wouldn't know, but I don't even try to do race chain.

You’re pretty low on the corner with quite a beak for a work chain can it work for a bit yes, just as long as one that the corner is matched to the outside corner.

Put it in some wood. Compare it against some of your round file chain. See what you think...
Time the cuts. Then tweak the cutters and rakers as you see fit.
Then report back. Lol.
