No bare feet on that sumbeatch. However hot it is currently wherever you’re at, ramp it up a notch or ten when Aug/Sept hits…that’s the way Ga does it. And that concrete and asphalt they call a flightline is an unforgiving mf’r when those months roll in!
Got that right…you’d look like a damn roadrunner tryin’ to get to a shady spot. And outside of a hangar, it’s the belly or wings of an airplane. No bare feet on that sumbeatch.
The further west you go, the hotter it is and the more complaints that you hear.
That’s LOW not hot LOL!hotter than a snakes butt in a wagon rut
Try the local junkyard. Just like your place too hot to touch in the summer and you will freeze to death in the winter winds. Nothing but cold metal everywhere. It's fun touching those silver skins outside I'd bet. However hot it is currently wherever you’re at, ramp it up a notch or ten when Aug/Sept hits…that’s the way Ga does it. It’s just miserable hot on the flightline in the summertime as you know, and just crazy cold in the winter unless the workload is all inside the C-17 hangars. And I agree completely, at 54 yrs old now…it’s definitely a younger mans’ game and world.@USMC615 has it correct. I second the airport ramp as the hottest place around. During the summer you get no wind unless a storm comes up, it’s just ridiculous hot. During the winter you get wind…..
it’s colder than crap. Shade is not always convenient at my airport so I wear a wide brim lightweight “Tilley” hat to keep my head from burning. We say there’s nowhere colder in the winter nor hotter in the summer than the ramp. I’ve lived there a long time and it’s getting a bit tougher each year. It’s more of a young mans game nowadays.
