No I mean like a real worksaw..it gets the business all week, bossman ain't gonna buy no maxflow...I do for my "personal" saws.

I have a hard time keeping up with the fleet..those dudes don't care one bit..they sure ain't gonna have clean oiled filters ready to go in one of the boxes.

But if the MF can make it with a once a week cleaning then it shouldn't be to much of a hassle.

I'd be the one that had to do it and I don't want to...compressed air and a carb screwdriver will do it for now with these pieces of *s-word.
do it on the clock. Or on a day when there is a *s-wordty job to be done.

Are you guys trying to show sawmikaze what a max-flow looks like ?
I think so.

You try the cheap white Chinese filters Ryan? You try using a ladies nylon stocking over the filter to keep fines out?

We just have a Tupperware bin with about 10 air filters in that I throw in the tub with dish soap and scrub them when the time comes..no panty-hoes.

No cheap ching chong filters.

I don't know why everybody has trouble with the HD2 filter. Mine works great. No fines get by it. NONE. ZERO.

To make sure it was seating right, I glued an old garden hose o-ring to the metal top of the air filter -- this prevents the screw tightener thing from bottoming out. I also put a thin layer of grease on the bottom of the filter where it touches the plate.

Not long after buying my AM 660 and then buying the HD2 filter and then hearing all the HD2 horror stories, I bought the Maxflo foam filter system ... but I've never used it, since the HD2 works fine for me...OP, didn't your HD2 come with a felt cover? Mine did, and that catches most everything over 6" DBH...

I think K&N makes a filter for these.

So what would you use to catch particles smaller than 8" DBH? It it true that you can throw a cat through a K&N filter without the cat touching anything?

I've seen K&N filters for bikes but they didn't look useful for much beyond grading concrete aggregate...the one I saw looked like it was set up for 2b stone
