Had a rusty old piston in the goat barn. I put it in the electrolytic bath for a couple of days to remove the rust. The piston weighs one ounce shy of 17 pounds.

+1 ? Diesel?

Morning midlanders!

Evaluating the evilbay 012. Needs fuel system and Oiler overhaul. And, several 5mm Helicoils to repair ‘field expedient’ repairs. [emoji57]

Can’t tell if the good comp is due to sucking bar oil or just dumb luck. [emoji1696]

Morel mushrooms? Damn autocorrect!
I've thought about going mushroom hunting before but I don't trust my judgement on what's real and safe to eat and what's poisonous . Also, I'd pick one, take it home and eat it only to find out it was a Bobcat turd or something .

Google a picture of them. They wont be easily confused for any out there. Worst outcome is you step on a few before you realize your on a patch. Seek out dead cottonwood trees.

That a JD piston?
I showed that picture to A.J. and Abe yesterday and they said a JD model A or B.
Got to be.
When I first picked it up, a guy thought it was a John Deere piston.

Nice color. I bet it rides a good bit better than the old 350. I know mine rides pretty smooth. I did put a track bar on it at 30k mikes to fix the death wobble.

I will agree that the new fords are the best looking trucks they’ve ever had in my opinion. And they do ride much better then the there old lumber wagons do. Friend of mine has a 14 Gmc 2500. Said it’s the worst riding truck he’s ever owned.

It took new coils to fix the death wobble in a friend of mines.

The track bar flexed on these. You could turn the wheel on pavement sitting still and watch it flex. I had it a few times at interstate speeds and some st 40-50 and it was awful. Had to slow down to 25 or so. I put a Carli bar on there.
