There's an older lady down the road who says she "has a bunch of trees down" at her place. I'm supposed to go look at them today. I think I'm the third person though, so probably not anything to get too excited about. If it's good wood, I'll cut it and haul it off. I'm not much in the mood of cleaning up her mess though if it's just trash.

People down here are looking all the time to get trees cut down on their property. Problem is, house, fence or power lines are too vlose and they want the brush hauled off for free. I stay away from those deals. They're too cheap to call a tree company.

Actually saw one lady, on CL, advertising she had very valuable walnut trees for sale.
On residential property.
In town. IIRC she had about 10 that needed taking down. Lots of pictures of them. Looked like the biggest was about 8 inches diameter. Not only did she want the trees down, she wanted the brush removed and the stumps ground out. And she wanted paid for her valuable walnut trees.
Lots of people drinking from the stupidity well.

I saw an add like that on CL just down the street from me that said easy access. Yeah the term easy access meant I could walk up to it. It was a heavy leaner with power lines for two houses under it. Glad I only drove by lol.

Went and looked. There's quite a bit of good solid oak on the ground already that they want cut up and removed. A couple others, dead standing that need to come down. Nice easy falls that won't be anything to worry about. It actually looks like a pretty good score. Told them I'd try to come over and grab a truck load a day until I got as much cleaned up that I can get to easily. They're on several acres of wooded land so no need for brush removal.

Evening all! Been working long days on a project at work so I haven't had a lot of time. The neighbors finally cut their beans across the road from me so I have a lot of Hedge harvesting in my near future. I really need a F.E.L. tractor and either dump or GN trailer now... One of these days. Either way, the S.S. will be getting a nice workout soon and will be further earning it's keep.

Dad and I were talking the other day and we realized that the 35ton Speeco has only been started once since we got the S.S. from Doug. If this keeps up, I may just sell it. We'll see.
