Think I may have lost 6-8 cord of red oak (mostly pin oak). I had all the rounds stacked for splitting. Just getting started splitting them today and it seems all of it has turned punky. I stacked them on the north side of a building at my wood lot, in the shade. Live and learn.

Same thing happened to me this year.
Was not happy shoving nice rotten rounds off
down in the woods.
Like it rotted in just a few days.

Went to a hoarder auction yesterday. I could have loaded my shop to the brim 3 times with the stuff that sold for next to nothing. It was hard to hold back but I think I still went a little farther than I should as usual. Watched a nice Husqvarna zero turn with 225 hrs on it sell for $325. For one I got a Craftsman shaper for $7. Row upon row of stuff sold for $3 choice. There were about 10 people that bought 90% of the stuff. Mostly shop related items.
