And a good morning to you, men! The Primate is happily picking out which toy to take to school (Mater), and off he and the Queen go, he to school, she to work. I go to the vet today to get my distemper and parvo boosters, and to check on an age-related issue (he nootered me four years ago, and no more Primates have emerged, so he must know his business).

Yee haw have a good 'un.

Levi and I's objective is to get there as early as possible and split as much as humanly possible by noon or 1:00, then I gotta get him back to the house. All his boys are coming over at 5:00 to dove hunt.

I hope you're not opposed to running a chainsaw for a bit. I know that splitter is fast, maybe I need to cut some rounds on Friday to get prepped.

After a full day Saturday and all afternoon today, my second-hand, home-made, McGyver woodsplitter fired up and actually ran a few minutes!! It wouldn't shut down when I turned the key, however.

By the way, jerking the spark plus boot off of a running engine may result in a painful experience. :BangHead:

We'll have lunch about noon or a bit earlier, and do a prize drawing then as well. The family has stepped up with gift certificates, bar oil, and other pleasantries.

Can you use a screwdriver to ground it out?

Maybe in the future. At the time, jerking the boot off seemed like the right thing to do. I have no idea how to wire a 11 hp Briggs to a key switch, so this was a trial and error adventure. I feel quite pleased that I didn't burn anything out or set the whole thing on fire.

Just make a metal strap held down with a head bolt and long enough to reach the top of the plug. Open the top of the boot up if you have to. Then just press the strap to the plug to kill it.
Old school way of doing it, like it used to be done from the factory.

With a young lad's wet tennis shoe it shoots pain up to your gonads.

Tell him to bring his boyfriends with him, we could use them.
