I agree! Is there gonna be any equipment to help handle the bigger pieces or just strong back and dumb minds lol? R we gonna have enough wood splitters or do we know yet?

There should be a tractor available if needed, but mostly just muscle. Hinerman is bringing his splitter, Workshop is bringing his as well, I believe. If Matt makes it he usually has one. Maybe this is a good place to ask for a head count?

Who plans to attend and can bring a splitter?

Those are some honkers. If solid, that is a lot of wood.

I'm hoping it's still good. I'll know this weekend for sure. The more the better.

Goldie and I will be there along with Dustin. I'll have my splitter in tow.
Daughter and granddaughters should be along, too.

I'm planning on being there Marc.

Excellent!

Digger still has the little MS211 you pepped up for him.

So:
Wood for Good Charity Cut roster so far:

Marc + Digger and Buster (old, unreliable splitter that may or may not run)
Steve and Goldie + Dustin (splitter)
Hinerman + 9?! (splitter)
Matt (splitter)

Wood for Good Charity Cut

For all those who plan on attending: September 16th beginning at whatever time you would like. I will be at the main site (lunch and afternoon cut) at sunrise with coffee. I can direct you to the morning site from there. The morning site is about 1/2 mile from that address. I am working on getting signs to lead you in from the highway, but the address and GPS coordinates are:

3785 Inman Road, Alpena, AR

36.342118 -93.243351 for GPS

When my neighbor (a good, lifelong friend) approached me about this, I told him I really wasn't up to cutting as much wood as he wanted. I told him I knew some guys (and gals) who might be able to help pull off something like this. I really didn't know if y'all would be willing to help on such short notice. I appreciate all of your offers for help and look forward to the 16th.

Bob and Jean Good were told about the event after a couple of folks had said they would try to make it. They said they'd never heard of anyone doing anything like this. They are very excited and I think some of their family is going to bring them to the site on the day of the cut. They wanted to be able to thank everyone themselves.
