Don't do like my one uncle. Took him over five years to finally finish.

South side St. Louis brick duplex. Upstairs bathroom.

You older fellas may remember the slot in the back wall of the medicine cabinets. It was for used double edged razor blades.

Uncle used the slot for years.

Wife in the family downstairs would find the blades on their bathroom floor. Finally mentioned it years later while both couples were playing cards. [emoji23]

Took me almost 10 years to do my kitchen. But then, I was "on strike" for 9 1/2 of that.

Might be taking baths in an old wash tub out behind the house before it's all done.

Dad built the two car garage and breezeway part of the house first in '48.

We lived in it until he built the rest of the house in 55-56.

No water heater. Heated the water on the electric stove or kerosene space heater. Mom and I bathed in the wash tub. Dad used the locker room at the Oldsmobile dealer.

Mom was lifting her pressure cooker kettle off the space heater one time and poured scalding hot water down her front. Spent a week in bed with dad looking after her.[emoji37]

Out of town this afternoon. Last box from Farmertec took eleven days.

This one took barely five. Yikes!
