Update on son's Bronco project. Since he first fired it back in December he probably has about 3 hours of run time on it. Always had good oil pressure and never overheated. Last night he was doing the same thing. Good oil pressure and at operating temp. Engine stops. Now it's locked up. No unusual sounds or noises at all. Nothing. It just suddenly stopped. Thought maybe something happened in the clutch area. Pulled the tyranny this evening. Nothing. Put a socket wrench on the crankshaft. Engine is locked up.
Sooo now it's pull the engine, disassemble and inspect.
And start over.
Again.
I don't know who is more disheartened. Him or I.
Plus, he's worried about work. Friendly Ford sold out to another car group. I keep telling him not to worry, but rumors are flying and that's hard to deal with, too.

Sorry to hear that mess Steve. ..
Sometimes you have to walk away
From a project for a few days, I hope
It's something not expensive.
Don't turn the crank too hard
Something may have went in a cylinder

Man I would probably cry a little but maybe it hydro locked from to much fuel?

And I think you Son will have a mechanic job anywhere with those skills.

Sorry to hear about the project Steve. As was said, it's time to sit back, decompress and think about it for a while before diving in.
Tell your son that I've been through two buy-outs and to hang in there until the dust settles. If the buyers have any intelligence at all, they work with the staff that they have and evalute how they perform before they make any decisions for change. He's welcome to come by any time and see how the "other brand" does business. :-)
Some yayhoo by the name of Warren Buffett owns us now. :-)

Kid down the block came by with his saw he just bought for me to give it a once over. Dumped the tanks and checked for trash, blew off the air filter and put on a 'real' chain.

MS250. He had two Power Sharp chains with it but nothing to sharpen them with. Gave him one I had hanging there. Cut good.

Sent him down to Jeff's to get one driver removed.
