Got 4 red-headed woodpeckers girdling the pecan tree in the front yard this morning. Poor tree looks like it has a "tear at the dotted line" ring every few inches.

Morning midlanders!

I was going to have a start/run/cut test on the worn out 3400 but the right elbow says no. [emoji21]

Evilbay 012 carcass showed up yesterday. Piston stuck tighter than a bull's ass in fly season.[emoji20] At least it has parts we can use.

Maybe go with the piston kit from Little Red Barn.

Husky 141 found a new home.[emoji108]

And, since we abused our elbow with it, went ahead and tested the Poulan.

Howdy boys! @Hedgerow we were in your neck of the woods the other day! Had a meeting with Eli Bruton, owner of the Liberty Tree gun shop. We are going to do some cedar stuff to remodel a VIP area with a coffee bar with a live edge bar. .,..they will be using it to make a comfortable spot while customers are waiting on paperwork to be completed after purchases. He owns the whole strip mall there including a 300 booth flea market that he will be revamping into a tourist destination where he will host a farmer's market/ live flea market on the weekends. we will be carving on site at least once a month seasonally...but the big project is to carve a massive 10-12sculpture of a 1911 pistol that can be seen from the fir road exit on 49 that will be his liberty tree gun shop sign!!! Pics will be forthcoming as we solidify the project..

Finished overhauling this little booger. 7.5 ton aluminum that has an internal bladder so that it will work in any position.

We had a lot of Enerpac equipment at the plant. You can imagine how many places 10,000 psi can leak.

I eventually changed over most of it to use regular industrial hydraulic at 2,000 psi. Larger cylinders and pump capacity.

Those Enerpac units made me learn just enuff hydraulics to get by.

The chief plant engineer had purchased a 150 ton 'H' frame shop press to assemble 18" wire bundle packages on a steady 5-24 basis.

He was taken back when I announced I didn't want to use the frame and questioned weather it was wise to use 10,000 psi pump/cylinder package. The oil got freakin hot!

Besides I told him the frame was upside down.

I was on his chit list for a while but after we got it all together he was proud of me.

Eventually I sold him on regular industrial hydraulics and abandoned the car/truck garage thinking.

They've been hammering that tree for the last 20yrs that I know of. It doesn't seem to be affected health wise other than the trunk looking like a peg board.

This was my view for the last two days getting windshield time, helping to deliver 51x 6' round bales to the fire area in Ashland KS... I don't have the words to describe the abject loss there... I do have the words to describe the anger I have for my newfound exhaust leake between the y-pipe and the turbo on my 7.3 as I can't build more than about 12 psi and the hills were a struggle with a fully loaded 25' dual-tandem GN trailer... We got it done though.
