Morning fellas, I'm looking to get a bull rope, not a hi use item for me but I do need one. Any recommendations or does anyone have a good used one they'd sell me?

Have had good luck with Samson bull ropes. Big skid steer will not break it pulling logs out or pull trees down with lots of lean where you don't want the tree to go.

Stronger than a chain and much lighter. For demanding rigging.

Sometimes called rigging rope. Generally 5/8-3/4" and long (150'+), very strong, and can be expensive ($150-300+). Madsens has one on the high end (a Samson 200' for $329). Amazon has some on the lower price spectrum. It is used for pulling trees over and lowering heavy limbs from over houses, power lines, fences, etc.

That was a lot of tree to pull over, plus u get the bungy effect that don't get with cable or chain.

I climb up and put knoches in limbs in big dead elms and use chains to jerk
Large chunks of tree down with an Super M Farmall so I don't get killed by widow makers. Sometimes I pull the chain up

Looks nice Brett, I have a peavey and a can't hook and I use my can't hook more than my peavey. Words of advice, don't shim the hook, let it flop side to side and make sure the point of the hook is really really sharp.

Thanks. Surprisingly beefy for the money. First thing I noticed looking at the hook is that its dull. May be paint buildup but I think it just needs some grinding. I agree that a cant hook will be of more use and intend to buy one.
