I spent thirty years across the street from this place in the plant engineering building.
Wire Rope started up in Joetown in 1952 after moving from New Haven, Conn..
The place was up to four hundred hourly employees plus office personnel and supervisors at one time.
All gone now.
Plants in Chillicothe and Sedalia still operating but for how long.
The real estate has been sold to Hilliards. The gym floor maintenance people for their planned expansion.

Not many hide tanning places left in the US. Wastewater contains a huge amount of chromium.

They used some of our spent sulphuric acid in the tanning process for the iron content.
