They will persist. Don't give up, keep pounding the tick killer to them. I pulled 2 ticks out of me after my oak plunder a week ago; one decent sized, the other was a tiny seed tick. Pulled 8 out of the dog. She is on flea and tick medication so all of them were dead.Evening everybody.
Speaking of ticks (nasty irritating things), I read in the Missouri Conservationist magazine a few years ago that a tick will sit on the end of a bush twig, tree branch, tall grass, anything somewhat elevated, with its forelegs extended for up to two years waiting for something or somebody(like me) to come by for it to grab onto. After last years episode with a tick bite at the stamp a couple of weekends back I spread 60lbs of tick granules around the place and then sprayed 6 gallons of liquid “kill any kind of insect known to mankind” around the whole property. If they still persist my next plan is some sort of smallish nuclear detonation down there.

I always thought dinner and supper were the same thing; breakfast is in the morning; lunch is mid-day. I don't care what you call it, just feed me and let's eat, lolNo overnight rain last night, it’s supposed to get stormy around dinner time.
For those that may be confused about dinner time ; dinner is at noon/mid-day, supper is in the evening. It was called the last supper after all …
I see the guessers have moved the enhanced risk to the east of us Burt looks like most of Missouri is in the enhance area.
